Vision Sciences and ESTECH Announce Distribution Agreement

Products for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery in the Treatment of Atrial Fibrillation
NATICK, Mass., June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vision-Sciences, Inc., (Nasdaq: VSCI) announced today the signing of a Development, Supply and Distribution Agreement (the "Agreement") with ESTECH, Inc. (privately held) of Danville, CA, for products designed to provide access and visualization for minimally invasive cardiac surgery for the treatment and ablation of atrial fibrillation.

According to Medtech Insight, Atrial Fibrillation (AF) affects more than two million people in the US and six million people worldwide, and "is responsible for one-third of all hospitalizations related to cardiac rhythm disorders (over 360,000 per year), resulting in billions of dollars in healthcare expenditures."

The Vision Sciences CT-F100 and CTSS-F21 Cardiothoracic Endoscope and Slide-On(TM) EndoSheath(R) System is designed to provide minimally invasive access to the pericardium in order to enhance visualization during epicardial AF ablation procedures. Under the Agreement, ESTECH will distribute the CT- F100 and CTSS-F21 with its suite of products for AF ablation. ESTECH has exclusive rights for the distribution of the CT-F100 and CTSS-F21 within the field of minimally invasive cardiac AF ablation surgery, contingent upon meeting certain terms and conditions.
