ESTECH Issued Patent Covering New Devices to Help Restore Normal Heartbeat to Patients suffering from Atrial Fibrillation

Danville, CA, Feb 1, 2005- Endoscopic Technologies, Inc. (ESTECH), a medical device company focused on the development and sale of products for use in cardiovascular surgery procedures, has been issued a patent covering their new "Cobra® Adhere™ and Cobra® Adhere XL™ devices. These devices are used by to create scars on the heart that prevent electrical impulses that cause a form of irregular heart rate called Atrial Fibrillation (AF). More than 2 million people in the US are currently living with AF.

The two devices, Cobra® Adhere™ and Cobra® Adhere XL™ combine the proven RF ablation technology with a suction application method that allows the surgeon to create lesions on the outside of the heart while it is still beating. The devices are designed for use in traditional surgery procedures and for minimally invasive applications.

ESTECH has received 510K marketing clearance on the Cobra® Adhere™ and expects to release it for sale in March and release the Cobra® Adhere XL™ device in late 2005.
