ESTECH is a privately held medical device manufacturing and distribution company located in San Ramon, California. The company was founded by Arthur and Raymond Bertolero in 1996 with an emphasis on least invasive products for cardiac surgery. ESTECH has grown to over 45 employees with worldwide distribution and has consistently attracted goal oriented professionals who represent the brightest minds in the medical device industry. Raymond S. Bertolero
Vice President, ESTECH Co-Founder, Corporate Secretary
Mr. Bertolero has over twenty- three years of Cardiac Surgery business experience. Prior to founding ESTECH in 1996 he held sales and management positions with COBE Cardiovascular for fourteen years; his experience provides a broad knowledge of the medical device and Cardiac Surgery business. Mr. Bertolero has been involved with all aspects of ESTECH's development; he is an inventor of several ESTECH products and is currently responsible for Marketing and International Sales. Mr. Bertolero holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration - Marketing from Humboldt State University.

Edgar B. Rey
Vice President, Sales
Edgar has been with ESTECH since September of 2005 and oversees the domestic Sales strategy, organization, and activities for the company. Edgar has led the re-organization and scale up of the ESTECH Cardiac Sales and Clinical Teams specializing in less invasive and minimally invasive CABG, Valve, Cardiac ablation AFIB, and LVR/ Blue Egg product lines. Edgar has over 20 years of medical device sales and sales management experience in the interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery marketplaces. Previously, as Vice President of Sales, Edgar worked at Medivance, Inc. and Vasomedical, Inc. in the Cardiac Surgery, Neurology, and Cardiology markets. Edgar also held a number of sales and sales management positions at ACS/ Eli Lilly and CTS/ Guidant Corporations. Edgar holds a B.S. Degree in Business from Nova Southeastern University.

Steve Geyster
Vice President, EMEA & I
Steve has over 13 years of Cardiac Surgery experience and is responsible for Sales, Marketing, and Clinical Development for ESTECH in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India. Steve has spent the last two years focused on and directing ESTECH's Minimally Invasive Surgical AFIB Initiative. Steve's engineering background and clinical experience has enabled him to be a key contributor and co-inventor in the development of many of ESTECH's products. Prior to coming to ESTECH in 2000 he was Director of Research & Development for the Cardiopulmonary Division of CR Bard. Steve holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Lowell and an M.B.A. focused in Project Management.

Tamer Ibrahim
Vice President, Research & Development
Tamer Ibrahim has been with ESTECH since April of 2000 and oversees R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. Tamer has lead the development of over 60 cardiac surgery devices within ESTECH’s core focus areas of AF, VALVE, and CABG and has invented key technology to strengthen ESTECH’s IP position within each area. He has also managed the development and implementation of ESTECH’s corporate quality system and helped ESTECH to become the first company to receive CE mark to market RF ablation products with an indication to treat atrial fibrillation. Previously, Tamer worked at the VA Rehabilitation R&D center, designing implantable devices aimed to advance hip prostheses. Tamer received his M.S. from Stanford in Biomechanical Engineering and B.S. from U.C. Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering.

David Swanson, Ph.D.
Chief Technical Officer
Dr. Swanson joined ESTECH in August of 2005 as its Chief Technical Officer. Dr. Swanson is an inventor on over 240 patents issued by the US patent office. The San Jose Mercury News has identified him as one of the top 10 inventors in California. Before joining ESTECH, Dr. Swanson worked for Boston Scientific/EP Technologies for 14 years. While there he held various positions including Senior Director of R&D and Head of Intellectual Property. Previously, Dr. Swanson led the Tachyarrhythmia Research and Technology Group at Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. Dr. Swanson holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a MS degree in Physiology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a B.S. degree in Physics from Northern Illinois University.

Sarah Bertolero
Director of Corporate Affairs
Sarah joined ESTECH in 1996 and has played an integral part in the company's growth. She previously held the position of Controller and facilitated several rounds of financing, including the Common, A and B rounds. She also participated is the spin out of CHF Technologies. She has been involved in the coordination of 3 facility expansions. In her current position as Director of Corporate Affairs, she is responsible for maintaining and improving relationships between the organizations employees and departments. Sarah participates in teams working on valuation, and M and A. She is responsible for the Human Resources and Shareholder Relations. Sarah holds a B.A. in Social Science from University of California, Berkeley.

David Chersky
Director of Operations
David joined ESTECH in October of 2002 as Operations Manager. He was promoted to Director of Operations in June of 2004. Before joining ESTECH, David worked for Computer Motion, Inc., a California based surgical robotics company. While there he managed global logistics, inventory control and production planning. Previously, David worked at Karl Storz Imaging where he held various positions including Manufacturing Systems and Production Control Manager. David holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara, APICS certifications in Production and Resource Management and has more than 15 years of operations management experience.

Chris Seidensticker
Vice President of Finance
Chris joined ESTECH in December of 2003. Prior to joining ESTECH, Chris was a business unit finance manager at Siebel Systems, a software company based in San Mateo, California. Previously, Chris held various finance, strategy, and audit positions at medical device and biotechnology company, Baxter International, Inc. Chris holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Mike Dominici
Director of Marketing
Mike joined ESTECH in August of 2005. Previously, Mike worked for RITA Medical, an interventional oncology company located in Northern California. While at RITA he held the positions of product, manager and director of marketing for the core ablation business. Previously to RITA, Mike worked for Johnson & Johnson and Roche Diagnostics in various sales and marketing capacities including: territory, regional, corporate account and product management. Mike holds a B.B.A. from Texas Christian University and a M.B.A. from Butler University.
